Pastel Valentine's Lookbook

Hi everyone,

A new year has been going strong and full of wonderful events, I have been changing up my wardrobe game as well. I think I generally have been wearing loads of reds, blacks, silver and gold color during the festive season. While I love the festive color, it is good to change things up once in a while.
In 2016, pastel blue and pastel pink are Pantone's color of the year, which means it is absolutely trendy to wear pastel color all year long! I am super happy to hear that because I love pastel, it is soft and romantic! Speaking of romantic, Valentine's day is just around the corner, so here are some outfit inspiration for your romantic day inspired by the color theme of the year =)
Pastel pink/salmon color is my go-to color when I am in the mood of feminine vibe. It is timeless and looks good on every skin tone. When in doubt, go for pastel pinky peach color =)
Dress is from Romwe
Mint green is one of my favourite color because it matches my medium olive complexion really well. I also think that the color is really soft yet adventurous at the same time. So, I highly recommend trying this color for spring and summer 2016 =)
Dress is from Romwe again. (Sold out in the site, sorry)
Bucket bag is from Wardrobe Mess

Now, denim blue color screams beach resort for me. I just love the casualness of the color . Whether you have a relaxing date or fun night in with the girls, this dress is perfect to lounge around. It is airy, breeze and the best part? It hides your stomach so you can eat whatever you want.
Dress is from Romwe again.
It wouldn't be a Valentine's day lookbook without a good old floral dress, would it? Floral never fails in my book. If there is only one thing I could wear for the rest of my life, it will be floral dress. I just love the girly-ness of it, it is always super pretty regardless of the occasion.

This is just bonus shot from my photographer.
 Have a good one, everyone!

Best in Makeup 2015

Hello everyone,

Happy New Year! I hope you have had a great break =)
This is the time of the year where everyone starts reflecting on their live, achievement, etc. While we are doing so, let's take a look at my favourite, tried and true favourite beauty products of 2015. I apologise if some of the products look really beaten up, but hey, it just means that I use them all the time =)
1. Foundation
I have two favourites for foundation in 2015, my no.1 favourite has to be the Yves Saint Laurent Le Teint Touche Eclat, followed by the Borjois Healthy Mix Serum foundation. I have a normal to dry skin and I live in a super humid climate, however, I found that these two holds up on my face for more than 13 hours. What I love most about it is that they give me a healthy looking glow that last all day <3 I love to use the YSL one for when I am taking my blog photos too because it give slightly glower finish. However, the Borjois one lasted slightly longer (maybe about 16 hours or so).
2. Concealer

My most troublesome area has to be my under eye circle. It is extremely bad =( What I found work the best to cover up your deep, dark circle is by using a creamy concealer which has a peachy undertone. Here are my two favourite one from high end and low end: Benefit Erase Paste in Medium and L.A. Girl Pro Conceal in Nude. To be honest, I prefer the L.A Girl one slightly better because it does not settle in my fine lines as much. Benefit Erase Paste is doing pretty well, though it will settle into your fine lines if you over powder it.
3. Eye Primer
Now, don't even think to put eyeshadow if you don't prime your eyelid! My favourite one so far is the Innisfree Eye Primer. I love it better than legendary Urban Decay Primer Potion guys! Pretty mind blowing, I know. Anyway, the reason why I love this primer is because it performs as well as Urban Decay in terms of my eyeshadow staying power but it does not dry out my eyelid area as much. The best part is that it is so affordable, I think it is around $10 =)
4. Eyeshadow
However, I haven't met any eyeshadows that perform better than Urban Decay's eyeshadows. They are clear winners in my book for the past 5 years now. Urban Decay came out with loads of palettes and I have to say, all of them are beyond great! However, my favourites are the ever so popular Urban Decay Naked Palettes! (I guess they are popular for a reason, right?). The original is still my absolute favourite because of the color selection and I think the shadows are slightly more buttery but I did use Naked 2 a whole lot too last year.
5. Eyeliner and Brow
My fave eyeliner of 2015 is the L'Oreal Ultra Sharp Super Liner. I love it because it is really black, easy to use and long lasting. I think this stuff lasted longer than my Bobbi Brown Gel Eyeliner that I love.
For eyebrow, I am still loving my Benefit BrowZing. Not only that the color matches my brunette hair perfectly, the wax also makes the brow powder lasts all day <3 As you can see, I practically "murdered" my BrowZing.
6. Mascarra
The winner of 2015 Mascarra goes to Benefit They're Real! I feel like my lashes love this massacre, it lengthens and volumizes the lashes like no other. They are not waterproof but it last pretty long on me, just don't jump into water because it will smear.
7. Blushes
I have loads of blushers, so picking up a favourite is a nightmare for me =( However, in terms of formulation, my favourite pick is actually the Rimmel Lasting Finish Soft Colour Blush. As the name suggests, it lasted so long! Love this blushers! I am dying to get more shades. Sadly, it is not sold in SG, so I have to order it online from the UK.
My second favourite is the Clinique Cheek Pop. I feel like it is very cute and the cream powder formula lasts on my skin for quite a long time too. I mostly enjoy the texture of the blush.
8. Contour and Highlights
Well, what can I say? Ever since Kim Kardhasian took the world, contouring and highlighting became extremely important, didn't it? Both of my favourites in 2015 are from MAC. These are my go-to products because I love love its color, texture, blend ability and staying power.
MAC Soft and Gentle has been around for as long as I am wearing makeup and it has been most people's go to highlighter. As you can see in the swatch, it is very beautiful and will give you a subtle glow.
MAC Blush in Harmony has been my favourite contour shade for so long because I love the color, it is on the cool tone side which works really well to contour the nose and cheek bones. I also love that it is very long lasting on the skin. However, I am NC25- NC30 in MAC and I think if you are any darker than me, Harmony might not show up well.
9. Face Powder
Rimmel Stay Matte Powder has been on my skin the entire 2015. It just sets the makeup beautifully, it never cakes up and it does not flash back in flash photography =)
10. Lipstick
MAC Lipstick is extremely great! I think they have the best color selection, finish, scents and texture. It feels very comfortable on the lip. It may not have the best staying power though so you have to keep reapplying.
My honourable mention has to go to Wet and Wild mega lasting lipstick. It is my newest discovery, hence the festive red color. OMG, it is so beautiful, long lasting and surprisingly creamy. I think if you want to get fun color, definitely get this lipstick, it is very affordable too =)
L'Oreal Shine Caresse Lip Stain has also been my long time favourite lip products. It is very long lasting yet glossy at the same time. I love these products and I definitely relied on my Juliette shade to satisfy my red lipstick cray throughout the holiday season. I love wearing this to party and events where I have to mingle and meet loads of people because I don't have to worry about reapplying them.
11. Nail Polish
Alright, my favourite nail polish of the year has to be the Innisfree nail polish. They are amazing, they applies so smoothly,  they don't chip easily and they have a wide variety of colors. The best part? It is only $4.00 I think - amazing bargain! One downside though, this nail polish contains less product as compare to the China Glaze/ OPI polish, so just keep that in mind =)

Alright guys, if you are still reading this, thank you so much!!! <3
I wish you amazing year ahead and good luck finding your true beauty soulmate.

Holiday Party Lookbook

Happy Christmas Eve everyone!

To celebrate the amazing Christmas and the year 2015, I am gonna show you 5 different outfits inspiration to celebrate this holiday season. Personally, I always love the festive season because I got to dress up, wear glittery makeup and of course, eat pretty little desserts <3
Be it for Christmas party, dinner, tea with the girls or the ever so festive New Years celebration, this is the season to be happy. So, rock your favourite outfits with the best accessory ever, your smile that is!

1. All that Sparkle
I think I could be the girlies girl of them all. Here, I am wearing the super season appropriate dress from Lara J that screams Christmas. It is fun, festive, bold yet cute and girly at the same time. I pair it with black bag and shoes as the dress is a statement on its own.
OUTFIT Detail:
Dress: Lara J
Shoes: Jeffrey Cambell
Lipstick: MAC Kanga Rounge
2. The Lady Like Glam
I think this is the dress I will totally gonna wear during my own Christmas celebration. It has everything needed for every girl. It is beautiful, glamorous, lady like, sexy and festive. I absolutely love this crazy breathtaking dress. It is super amazing (speechless at this point). In all seriousness, nothing is more appropriate than wearing red this season <3
OUTFIT Details:
Dress: Oasap
Lipstick: MAC Kanga Rounge
3. Cool Minimalistic
Sometimes, comfy is all you need to Christmas party because after all, it is all about the food and company, right? :) Here, I am pairing a very simple romper that has a one shoulder detail to expose just enough skin. It is simple yet sophisticated. My trick to make any simple outfit holiday appropriate is to pair it with statement earring and fun shoes. Here, I am wearing a dangling chandelier earring and tie the look together with my bow Jeffrey Cambell =)
OUTFIT Detail:
Romper: Gaudi
Shoes: Jeffrey Cambell
Bag: Some online store (I forgot)
4. The Classic Little Black Dress
Here is my go to outfit for any occasion: the Little Black Dress. You seriously can't never go wrong with it. Find one that fits you like a glove and you will look perfect all day and night. One tip is to find one that has a voluminous skirt so you can eat anything you want this day :D
OUTFIT Detail:
Dress: Armani Exchange
Bag: Balenciaga
Shoes: Jessica Simpson
5. The Party Centre of Attention
As this is the time to go all out with your style, why not try going with a wacky design. Here, I am wearing a very cute lips pattern dress that is extremely one of a kind. The cut of this dress is really loose as well, so it definitely takes a lot of confidence to rock this. My tips? Just wear if you feel like it. Since the pattern is so bold, chances are, you are the only one wearing it to the party :D
OUTFIT Details:
Dress: Shein
Shoes: Jessica Simpson
So, I hope this post inspires you on what to wear to your Christmas/ New Year parties as I know, it can be overwhelming and confusing. At least, I got confused a lot.
Merry Christmas, may the joy of the Lord be shine on you and be with you always.

God Bless You!

JRunway Fashion Show: Spring/Summer 2016

Hey guys,

How are your Christmas and New Year party prep going? I hope you guys will be having a blast this month. However, I have to throw our minds ahead to Spring/Summer 2016 today since I was lucky enough to get invited to JRunway fashion show last Friday.

As you can probably tell, the runway showcased Japanese fashion style that will hit the street in Spring/Summer 2016. At a first glance, you will find that Japanese fashion is very different than others because they are really unforgiving and all out. Typically, Japanese fashion went on the extreme of either being really casual or really gothic.
A couple of my own observation on the Japanese fashion that was featured in Runway show is that it is very casual (which is great since most people will be able to rock it well in extremely hot and humid climate). It features many t-shirts and denim which are super summer appropriate. However, all the female models are rocking killer shoes and red lips to glam up the fashion which i really love. Here, I broke down a couple of interesting fashion statement items that will be extremely trendy and must have for Spring/Summer 2016.

1. Hat Accessory
Another interesting fashion statement that will be super on-trend next year is adorable hats/beanie as seen all over the runway:

2. Denim on Denim
Continuing from 2015 trend, denim will once again be on the rage next spring/summer. It is seen on all the models. Next season, the trend is more like denim on denim or navy shades everything that is.
Since denim can be too cool and casual, you can pair it with killer heels which will give off a cool yet sexy look.

3. Long Kimono
We can't really forget the infamous Japanese kimono, can't we? It is making a come back yet again in 2016 Spring/Summer fashion look.
So, what do you think of Japanese fashion style for Spring/Summer 2016? Yay or Nay?
If you are interested to check out all of the pieces featured in this post, go ahead to JRunway store at Plaza Singapura #01-54 =)

Love,

Mix and Match Outfit Ideas

Hello everyone,

Happy festive month!! December is finally here and festive decoration is now everywhere!
To start this festive month, I am gonna bring you some of my favourite outfit styling tips that you can potentially use everyday.

1. Going Monochrome

Sometimes, less is more! Wearing the same color from head to toe is super on trend right now. Here, I pair my periwinkle top with periwinkle pants. It gives off an interesting and modern look that is classy. A tip to easily pull this off is to start with soft or neutral color, I would say avoid wearing neon color as it might look a bit much.
Also, don't worry about ensuring the color of your top and bottom to be precisely the same as slight different tones would actually bring out more interesting look.

OUTFIT detail:
Top: The Tinsel Rack
Pant: The Velvet Dolls
Heels: New Look
Bag: Wardrobe Mess

2. Colorful with Neutral
Another outfit that I like to wear is colourful top with plain neutral bottom. This is one of the easiest ways to pull off colourful or pattern. Pair it with neutral color black and shoes to tie the whole look together.
OUTFIT Details:
Top: Ivalice Fashionshop
Skirt: MGP Label
Bag: Balenciaga
Shoes: Mimosa
3. Matching Color
But, if you don't want to wear neutral color, another great tip is to choose one color from your colourful skirts and wear it on the top. This will give a coherent look that is extremely chic. Here, I pair this outfit with neutral bag and shoes as I think that there are many colors going on already.
OUTFIT detail:
Top: Niche
Skirt: Romwe
Heels: New Look
Bag: Wardrobe Mess
4. Print on print
If you are one of those daring girls, print on print may be your best friend! When working with two prints, make sure that one of the prints is bolder and bigger than others. Here, my checkered top is bolder and bigger in print than my colorful skirt. Therefore, the outfits still looks harmonious together right?
OUTFIT Detail:
Top: Dresslink
Skirt: MGP Label
Heels: New Look
Bag: Wardrobe Mess
5. Mixing Fabric: Lace and Organza

Another great way to wear different prints is to mix the fabric. Here, I am wearing an organza floral romper with lacy fringe cardigan. It gives off an extremely feminine yet daring outfit overall.
OUTFIT detail:
Romper: Shoplabellavita
Cardigan: Shoplabellavita
Shoes: The Editors Market
Bag: Balenciaga

I hope you enjoy my post today and you find it helpful. See you in the next post.

Stay Chic!

Digital Fashion Week Experience

Hi everyone,
As many of you know, last week was the annual Digital Fashion Week :) This year, I was lucky enough to get invited to the Digital Fashion Week insider lunch! Today, I am going to share some glimpse of my experience being a lucky girl basically.
So, first of all, what is Digital Fashion Week? Digital Fashion Week was founded by Charina Widjaja and its focus is to spread the South East Asian fashion talents all over the world. The show itself featured many local designers such as Josiah Chua, Eliza Yeo, Melissa C Koh and Afton Chen. What's unique about Digital Fashion Week lies within the word 'digital'. Unlike many other Fashion Week that we know and love, Digital Fashion Week focused on its live stream shows and social media presence. Its events are streamed live, making it more accessible for everyone to experience the front tow seats views.
So, I came to the Digital Fashion Week Insiders #DFWInsiders meet and greet last Saturday (31st Oct 2015) and I was so happy to meet one of my favourite fashion influencers, Sarah kale (@urbanwit). She is so sweet and pretty in real life!
I also managed to take picture with the beautiful Olivia (@olivialazuardy). PS: I am not that short, she just wore a killer high heels that day!
I also came with two of my best fashion buddies (Charmaine @daysofsummerr and Julia @j_limz) :)
Overall, the #DFWInsiders meet and greet was a pleasant experience. The insiders are so, super lovely!

Then, I was lucky enough to be invited to the #DFWInsiders exclusive lunch the following Monday. I was so excited as I would get to see Sarah again! (I love her so much) I was invited to OverEasy restaurant @Wheelok Place. It was so lovely, the ambient was great and the session was very chill. I sat next to Alexa @alexalosey from LA! Let me just say that she has perfect skin!!!
Of course, I had to take more pictures with Sarah ;) She is so cute and nice. The best influencer I have ever met in person!
I had to feed myself this to die for burger that is so sinful though!
Finally, the group picture! As you can see, it was a very chill lunch session that lasted about 2.5 hours. Everyone was so nice and lovely with very little intrusion from the media.
Thank you Digital Fashion Week for inviting me. I will definitely come back to watch the show next year! Btw, if you haven't already, don't forget to watch the show streamed at their YouTube channel. It is currently airing the shows in Bangkok <3
