Hi everyone,
Midi skirt is definitely all the rage this season. Today, Im gonna show you how to wear this trendy piece in 5 different ways today.
1. Work appropriate outfit:
Although many people initially think that midi skirt is an older lady piece, there is an updated version of it now. It comes in many different color, pattern and materials nowadays.
I can see why this piece can be tricky for some girls, as it falls within the mid calf area, it can cut your leg, making you appear shorter. The key to not look shorter when wearing this piece is to make sure that it starts on your waist (not your hips) and pair it with a nude heels.
Nude heels give an illusion of longer legs and yay to look taller!
This look is totally work appropriate. I pair it with a collared shirt and structure bag to give it more professional vibe.
2. Dinner Date Outfit
Going straight to a date after work? No worry! Just pull that midi skirt all the way to your bust and wear it as a dress :)
I added a belt to sync it my waist and give my body a shape. Remember, never waste your waist girls!
My tip is to wear a statement necklace whenever you want to transform your outfit from day to night. It is because statement necklace gives your outfit an instant glam effect.
Pair it with a little clutch and you are ready to enjoy your dinner!
3. Casual Cool
My favorite way to dress down any dressy outfit is to wear a chambray button up over it. Here, i added a belt over my midi skirt and my chambray top so that I don't get swallowed in all the layers.
Pair it with earth tone accessories will give you an instant casual vibe to the look. This is something that I would totally wear to school.
4. Brunch Outfit
Another creative way of styling midi skirt is to wear it with yet another midi skirt. Now it looks like a tube top right?
I remember looking at many shops and seeing how designers would create many clothing pieces in the same print. I guess you don't have to buy all the pieces, just be creative and wear whatever you have in many ways :D
I pair this one with my awesome gladiator wedges from Jessica Simpson which matches the color of my belt perfectly. Finish it off with a fun, colorful clutch and you are ready to have brunch with your girls.
5. Picnic Time
Sometimes, less is more! So the last look is to just wear this midi skirt from top to bottom as a loose dress. I pair it with a big hat and straw bag and I am ready to have a picnic on the weekend.
I hope that this post has inspired you to strech your fashion boundaries. Remember ladies, whenever you think that you have nothing to wear, try mixing and matching different pieces in your wardrobe. The possibility is endless.

Happy weekend and stay chic!
